A little about me…

Hey, I’m Jen and I run The Coastal Native.

So, a short background on me. I graduated in 2014 with a BA Hons in Illustration after being overly creative as a child and wanting to draw for a living. After realising the field wasn’t quite what I envisioned I took my retail career from part time to full time. I worked in a major high street fashion brand for over 7 years with a large portion of that being in visual merchandising. Yes, I got to dress mannequins for a living and that was pretty cool! Eventually, I flew the nest there after becoming a manager and wanting to head back into the creative side. After joining a second major British brand, I realised my true passion, styling interiors! I sold my soul after I laid my first dining table and have grown in that department over a couple of years. That pretty much brings us to where we are now. The Coastal Native was born in November 2019 as a new outlet to express my creativity and hopefully inspire others!
